Portuguese Surf Federation bets strongly on ISA World Series 2015, which will take place in Nicaragua. Some of portuguese best surfers were gathered in the last month in a surf camp, in Peniche, for an internship to prepare the National Surf Team. Vasco Ribeiro, Nic von Rupp, José Ferreira, Tomás Fernandes and many others worked for two days with portuguese national coach, David Raimundo, for observation. The nacional coach has quite some choices!
The surf camp, in Peniche, was the perfect stage for the best surfers in the country
Later this month Ribeira d"Ilhas hosted an awesome championship. The best surfers in the country showed their talent in the sea with high level surf which has excited the public. Tiago Pires showed, at the age of 35, that he is still in great shape. Frederico Morais took a 9,90 perfect wave and Vasco Ribeiro had the best score in the event.
The Allianz Ericeira Pro by Ericeira Surf & Skate defined Liga Moche´s starting line and showed kids and grown ups trying to get along with the favourites. Teresa Bonvalot, José Ferreira, Gony Zubizarreta, Carol Henrique, Filipe Jervis and so many other names have also popped up on the board of honour of this event.
The public has rejoiced with both these surf events
The public has rejoiced with both surf events, mainly the one who took place in the surf camp in Peniche. Before getting into action, surfers Kikas and Xico Alves just tested stage conditions. The result was a great show for everyone who sat in the sand to wacth the surfers. The sea was great and the waves were just awesome.
Portugal has a great generation of surfers. The future in this sport seems to be shining for portuguese surf and promisses great results on european and world contests. Peniche surf camp and many others are some of the perfect spots to develop those surfing machines.
