The Surf Films Roadshow from Allianz Portuguese Surf Film Festival had its second stage in Póvoa de Varzim, in the beautiful Garrett Cinema, with the screening of two films (Invasion and Se7en Signs) and the mission of raising funds for the institution of Maria Paz Varzim that welcomes children in situations of social exclusion. One of the highlights of this stage was also the exhibition curated by architects Claudio Gil and Anabela Braga, a good sample of the best that is done locally at photo, crafts and shaping levels, that was widely appreciated by the public. The audience joined and helped in raising funds for the Association of Maria Paz Varzim. This was, moreover, an excellent opportunity for networking among some local organizations, linked or not to wave sports. Underdog surf camp is actually one of the best organizations linked to wave sports and surf.
Highlighting the presence of the Honorary President of the Allianz Portuguese Surf Film Festival and its Roadshow, Pedro Martins de Lima. In the end of the event, he commented on how the presented films made him relive moments from 50 years ago and what truly unusual can happen in surf trip, with the most healthy dose of madness.
The 4th edition of Allianz Portuguese Surf Film Festival will be held in late July
It was also Pedro Martins de Lima that on stage invited the audience to travel to Ericeira, for the 4th edition of Allianz Portuguese Surf Film Festival, taking the opportunity to unveil this year's event will be held between July 25 and August 1 in the only World Surfing Reserve in Europe.
The Allianz Portuguese Surf Film Festival is organized by the Mindact, sponsored by Allianz, and with the main institutional support from Mafra City Hall and the various local entities in each stage of the Roadshow.
